Day 1 – Arrive at Madrid, Spain

Relax. Unpack. Settle into your room or grab a bite for lunch. If you are restless and want to stretch your legs, spend the afternoon taking in the views of a few nearby sites.
Our Tour Orientation Meeting and Welcome Dinner will be at a local restaurant, close to our hotel. We will introduce you to our Tour Directors and your Gabi Food Adventures tour companions. This dinner is an excellent opportunity to get to know your fellow travelers and learn more details about your trip.
Day 2 – Seville, Spain

We depart from our Madrid hotel and journey to beautiful Seville in the High velocity train- a colorful and stylish city with impressive buildings, parks, great tapas, and most of all – FUN!
Arriving in Seville, we will take a private, panoramic bus tour of the city. Here, we will see one of the world’s largest Cathedrals, Mudejar Islamic-style palaces, and majestic fountains, all while meandering along winding, narrow lanes.
There are three UNESCO World Heritage sites in the old quarter: The Alcazar Palaces, the Mosque-Cathedral (Mesquita) and the General Archive of the Indies, which houses the National Archives, and includes details of Christopher Columbus’ voyage to the Americas.
After checking into our hotel, we’ll be tapas-hopping around the city. If you enjoy a good food adventure, you will love this tapas crawl tour and the opportunity to taste a bit of Seville’s finest cuisine. With our expert local guide knowing exactly where to take us we will taste the city’s best pork, fish, cheese, and sweet tapas. Our day will include five venues with a local atmosphere, sampling 10-12 dishes along our way. Now, that’s the way to start a tour of Seville!
Midday is reserved for personal time to relax or for exploring around the city
Be ready for an exciting dinner experience! Tonight, our small group will enjoy a leisurely cruise down the Guadalquivir River, in a yacht . This spacious vessel offers a living room, an Italian-designed bar, and an upper terrace with sofas. Imagine, savoring a delicious, sit-down, six-course meal, while taking in the shimmering views and passing sights on shore – y Sevilla de noche!
Day 3 – Seville, Spain

From paella to Seville specialties such as spinach and chickpea tapas, there is no better way to immerse yourself in Seville’s remarkable culinary identity than with a private cooking class, and tour of the Triana Food Market led by a friendly, knowledgeable guide. Here, we will meet vendors selling colorful produce, succulent meats, fresh cheese, and a variety of other local delicacies.
Nibble on olives, and sip Sangria as we help our chef prepare a three-course meal of Spanish signatures. Working with our chef we will discover how to combine various ingredients and spices to achieve the special zest that sets Spanish food apart from the rest. Our meal complete, we will relax and dine on what we’ve cooked, accompanied by drinks (soft drinks, Spanish wine, or local beer). Once home, impress your friends and family by inviting them over for an authentic Spanish dinner. It’s a great way to practice and show off what you learned!
We’ll end the day with free time to discover Seville, with dinner on your own. This is an excellent opportunity to say goodbye to this spectacular city in a way of your choosing.
Day 4 -Seville, Jerez & Ronda, Spain, Seville

This afternoon we pass through the walls that surround the city of Jerez de la Frontera and tour its wineries. Known for its many varied types of wine, it’s in the cellar we learn what Spain is especially proud of. This guided tour includes the history, culture, and production of this region’s celebrated sherry wine, and ends with a delicious wine tasting.
For lunch we will dine in a local restaurant, then continue to Ronda.
Arriving in Ronda, we will check into a local hotel then enjoy some time to relax or freshen up.
First settled by the early Celts in the sixth century BC, Ronda is one of the oldest towns in Spain. It is surrounded by the Serranía de Ronda range of mountains and overlooks the Tajo Gorge. Here, the Guadalevín River splits, creating two smaller rivers and the gorge.
The impressive Puente Nuevo bridge spans the gorge and joins the two main areas of the town together. On one side is the renown Bullring of the Royal Calvary of Ronda, the oldest bullring in Spain. (It is now a museum.) On the other side is the old town, with its narrow lanes and mansion-style houses once owned by the nobility.
Ronda is not about rushing around. It is about strolling slowly through the lanes, visiting the bullring, and enjoying a relaxed dinner while basking in the beauty of this breathtaking, ancient, Andalusian settlement.
Back to Seville and Dinner, of course, will be at a local, restaurant.
Day 5 -Sevilla and Granada, Spain

- •Granada Gipsy Flamenco Show, Dinner includedAfter breakfast in our way to Granada, we will visit the city of Antequera and its Dolmens, which date back 4500 years. The Dolmens are Bronze age burial chambers made from sculpted blocks of stone and covered with soil to form great mounds. These Dolmens are even older than the great Egyptian pyramids! Antequera is a beautiful historical town off the beaten tourist trail, full of impressive buildings, churches, and fortresses which date back to Roman and Moorish times. We will visit the Alcazaba, which is a fortress that the Moors constructed in the 14th century to defend themselves from the Christians.Lunch will be in a local restaurant.Traveling along Spain’s stunning southern coast, passing papaya, avocado and mango groves we come to Granada, where we will check into our centrally located boutique hotel.Granada is nestled at the bottom of the towering Sierra Nevada Mountain range, containing the highest point in continental Spain. Romantic and Majestic, it was once wealthy, and the home of both Sultans and Christian Monarchs, including the famous King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, who made it their final resting and burial place.After free time to refresh, we will end the day with dinner and a typical flamenco show at an historic “tablao”, a place where flamenco dance is performed. Get ready to experience a perfect cultural night, enjoying a unique and captivating evening of guitar playing, soulful singing, handclapping, and passionate dancing which only the magic Gipsy culture can transmit.Flamenco dance originated in the 15th century with the arrival of the Gitanos (Gipsies) to the Iberian Peninsula. It is a tradition which continues to grow in popularity.
Day 6 – Granada, Spain

Immediately after breakfast we will drive to the Alhambra Palace Complex. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Alhambra is an ancient palace and fortress complex and the most famous monument in Granada. A royal city, it was originally constructed in 889 as a fortress on top of older Roman fortifications. It has a renowned architectural Islamic legacy and consists of at least six palaces, a fortress, gardens, and various sets of buildings.
Moorish poets describe it as a “pearl set in emeralds” in reference to the color of its buildings and the surrounding woods. It is also often referred to as a ship sailing towards the City of Granada with the large watch tower of the Alcazaba fortress being the prow.
The palaces are highly decorative with beautiful columns, and stalactite vaulted ceilings. The Fountain of the Lions Palace is the most famous. In its main courtyard is a marble fountain where 12 white marble lion statues “spew jets of water”. A marvel when it was designed, it baffled visitors of the time.
After our visit we will have lunch at a nearby local restaurant.
The rest of the afternoon is Free Time! Linger longer within the Alhambra neighborhood or make your own discoveries along the colorful streets and alleyways of Granada’s Old Town.
We start our Tapas Tour in the evening, walking around Granada’s historic city center, characteristic areas, monuments, and buildings. We will hear tales of its legends too!
Enjoy this historic city center and its narrow streets while hopping from tapas bar to tapas bar, relishing typical, yet distinctive, Granada tapas. Accompanied by a local bilingual guide and local friends, we will learn the true art of “tapeo”.
Day 7 – Granada & Cordoba, Spain

- Cordoba – Horse Show, Dinner included
Today after check out from our hotel in Granada we will meet to the country for this unique food-wine tour, because you will have the opportunity to discover Cordoba province and surrounded with one of the best Sommeliers of Spain. We will taste 4 olive oil on the morning, with the best views. After, we will walk and taste 4 wines in their own plot, to understand more about the viticulture of the area. From there, we will move one of the prestigious wineries, and we will taste 2 Balsamic vinegar very old, and we will visit the shop to enjoy a glass of wine. The lunch time it will be serve in an old school tavern. Did you know a lot of whiskies are mature on the Montilla Moriles cask? We will visit a barrel maker and we will taste 1 whisky ready link with us!
Later, we arrive in Cordoba and check-in at our centrally located boutique hotel. The old quarter of historic Córdoba is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The capital of both the Roman and Islamic Empires, it was once amongst the most powerful and important cities in the world.
The afternoon includes free time to relax before attending a spectacular equestrian show at the Royal Stables of Córdoba, the second oldest active stable in the world. We will be introduced to a fusion of different types of dressage created for flamenco. Dressage (pronounced: druh·saazh, fr.) is a form of horse riding performed for exhibition as well as for art.
This exceptional evening will finish with dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 8 – Cordoba, Spain

Our private coach will bring us to the mesmerizing ‘Mesquita’, the greatest ancient Mosque in the Western World. It is the most impressive building in the whole of Andalucía and the only Mosque in the world with a Baroque Cathedral right in the center.
Cordoba prides itself on its gastronomy, with local dishes such as Salmorejo Cordobés, as well as many other fragrant dishes with a distinct Arabic flavor.
With this in mind, we will have a classic luncheon in a local restaurant in the historic old city of Cordoba, followed by an afternoon of free time.
As a special treat we have been invited to have a private dinner with a local family and friends, complete with live music and typical Andalusian tapas.
Dinner, of course, will be at a local, nearby restaurant.
Day 9 – Cordoba, Madrid, Spain & Farewell Dinner

After breakfast we will get the Hight Speed train to Madrid. We will check in our central hotel and free time when you could stroll thought narrow streets and Gran Via, Puerta del Sol enjoying typical Madrid tapas, and learn the true art of a “tapeo”! or you can simultaneously discover Madrid’s most emblematic areas, monuments and buildings. You could enjoy this beautiful city’s history and legends. After sightseeing, be sure to save time for a siesta or at least to freshen up before the evening.
Later, we gather for our Farewell Dinner in a very special place in downtown Madrid
Day 10 – Madrid, Spain & Home
